There may not be any accolades or appreciation beyond this point, however you are in a position to be the agent of change in your circumstance with your own identity. You have the power to make positive real changes as part of the change process in the music and life community as a whole. With that said let your visible actions speak as loudly as your words with what type of lyricist you are. Being a lyricist is not just about making a verse, it is also about what type of content you are making.If you are a poet are you rhyming, or doing sonnets for instance. Power, true power, is based on knowledge of what should, shouldn’t and might happen given your presence in a situation.

Creativity isn’t a faucet you turn on and off at will. Sometimes, the words flow like a river — other times, it’s a dry well. The truth? Forcing content rarely produces great content.

Great lyricists know when to step back. Pressure kills inspiration. Deadlines are real, but creativity can’t be rushed without losing its soul.

When you hit a block, don’t panic or force bars just to fill space. Instead, shift focus:

• Live life — experience emotions, moments, stories.

• Listen to new music, read poetry, watch films.

• Let your subconscious work while you rest.

Often, the best lines come when you’re not grinding. When the pressure’s off, the muse slips back in. Also, remember that some ideas need time to mature. What feels forced today may blossom into brilliance tomorrow.

Don’t confuse discipline with stubbornness. Show up, but know when to pause. Quality beats quantity every time. Write from a place of truth, not desperation. Because bars that come easy? They hit harder.
